Experience
Geza’s practice focuses on intellectual property protection, namely preparation and prosecution. He counsels on developing intellectual property protection strategies, including patentability, freedom to operate and infringement opinions. Geza has successfully secured patent protection on behalf of individual inventors, small and medium business, as well as large multinational companies. He has drafted and prosecuted numerous utility and design patent applications in technical fields such as computer hardware and software, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, mobile phones, consumer appliances, computer games, computer implemented inventions, healthcare devices, oral appliances, power generation systems, aircraft systems and alternative energy devices. Additionally, Geza is experienced with protecting inventions internationally and works closely with patent agencies outside of the United States. Geza is also experienced in post grant proceedings and successfully filed patent reexamination proceedings which eventually led to the dismissal of corresponding patent litigations.
Geza also advises clients in aspects of trademark clearance, registration, enforcement, and licensing. He has experience in the investigation and enforcement of infringing and counterfeit trademarks and copyrights and has handled administrative procedures before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Geza is a member of the American Intellectual Property Association, the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
